Pork Shoulder Burgers (Halloween Style)

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Serves: 2-3

Ingredients

For Marinate

  • 200g Pork shoulder steak
  • 1 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Burger

  • 3 dinner rolls or burger buns
  • 6 pieces of pickled cucumbers
  • 6 leaves of iceberg lettuce
  • 3 slices of cheese
  • 6 tbsp. tomato pasta sauce (can be ready-made available at markets)
  • 6 green olives 

Method

Cut the pork steak into circular shapes and toss with all the other ingredients for marinade. Let sit for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

On a frying pan over medium heat, add oil and cook the marinated pork for 2-3 minutes on each side until brown.

Cut cheese into a zigzag shape to make sharp teeth.

Cut the dinner rolls or burger buns in half, and creatively place the lettuce, meat, pickles, cheese and tomato sauce between the rolls to form the bottom half of a face.

Put an olive at the one end of a toothpick. Stick the toothpicks into the burgers to maintain the shape, and your burger is ready!
